About
Hi. This blog is run by me, Chris Bauman. I am a descendant from a Swiss-German heritage of clergy and physicians on my dad’s side, and English-Texan heritage of Cowboys and nurses on my mom’s side. Somehow, through all of that great upbringing, I learned to sing, cook, clean (a couple of times in my life) and tell really bad jokes.
If you are wondering, “where did escapade78 come from?”…I’ll tell you. Basically, I pulled that one out of my rear. I was born in ‘78 in Webster, Texas. Thus the 78 part. Escapade is described by old man Webster as:
- a reckless adventure or wild prank.
- an escape from confinement or restraint.
- An adventurous, unconventional act or undertaking.
- a wild and exciting undertaking (not necessarily lawful)
- any carefree episode
So, you can take your pick on which one truly applies (most all of them in one form or another do) but I figure my life has been an ‘escapade’ since ‘78.
I did break a few branding rules. Many would say that you should never combine words and numbers together for the fact that it is harder to remember. But I say “hogwash!” You can remember all sorts of word/number combos. Such as the San Francisco 49ers, the Philadelphia 76ers, Apollo 13, Number 1, March 20 (coincidentally, my birthday) and Friday the 13th. See. No problem at all. Just say to yourself “escapade78, escapade78, escapade78″ and voila! You now know exactly where to find out about me. Congrats.
Thanks for stopping by and reading and feel free to drop me a note.
