Budgeting

Creating a budget is hard work, as I and others have discussed elsewhere. Yet having a strong, accurate budget is an essential step towards financial freedom. Once the budget is created, then you need the determination and commitment to keep that budget, which can be difficult given the temptations of the world we live in. One of the ways to keep you on track is to include rewards in your budget.

Types of Rewards

While there are almost an infinite number of things that can be rewards, depending on your personality, there are really two types of rewards when it comes to maintaining your budget.

The first type of reward is what I call a maintenance reward. This reward is what you give yourself periodically for simply holding to your budget. The military gives medals for duration of service as well as heroism; a maintenance reward is like that, something you give yourself simply because you have been doing a good job.

Maintenance awards should not be large, but (of course) enjoyable. Taking your spouse out to dinner is a good example of a maintenance award, or maybe a weekend camping trip (which works very well for me). Include a small savings plan in your budget for this type of reward, say about $ 50 a month or so. I would suggest you isolate this money; don’t put it in your savings accounts, investment accounts. Instead, just get the cash and put it someplace you can look at it often. This allows you to fantasize a little about the reward, which increases your pleasure. And rather than rewarding yourself every month, make this significant by doing every 3 to 6 months.

The second reward is a milestone award. This is something you give yourself when you reach a specific target, suggest as paying off a big debt, or reaching a certain income.

Treat this as a bonus. Put an item in your entertainment category, possibly, to pay for this reward. If you are using the envelope technique to manage your spending, you could put any left over money into this fund. I would suggest opening a second savings account, like a Christmas fund account, to hold the money for this reward. Then, when you reach the milestone, buy that big new television, go on that cruise you’ve been wanting to do, reward yourself.

Why?

You might be asking yourself, why should I do this? Isn’t the reward of financial freedom big enough to work? Why spend the extra money?

Quite frankly, no, the ultimate goal of financial freedom is not enough. A financial freedom plan takes years, typically, to accomplish. Unless you are incredibly strong willed, you cannot keep going years without some payoff; I know I can’t. So, give yourself some incentive to reach the milestones. Take time to indulge yourself, a little, before you get back into the fight. Again, to use the military as an example, combat soldiers get leave to go to town and have a good time. They do this because it works, it keeps the soldiers motivated. Don’t treat yourself like a monk, but as a soldier. You’ll get better long term results.

Budgeting

“A man may, if he knows not how to save as he gets, keep his nose to the grindstone.” Benjamin Franklin

“The amount of money you have has got nothing to do with what you earn. People earning a million dollars a year can have no money and people earning $ 35,000 a year can be quite well off. It’s not what you earn, it’s what you spend.” Paul Clitheroe

“A penny saved is a penny earned.” Benjamin Franklin

In order to live a successful life and not having to worry about going broke in either your personal life or in your business then you have to budget wisely and not live above your means. You can make millions of dollars but if you do not budget those millions wisely then it will be like you have not made any money.

It is important to keep ahead of your budget and develop a plan for you to invest each month in your business and in your personal life.

Out of all of the money that you earn plan to invest a percentage of it for each of the different things that you want to do in order to make you get the maximum happiness out of your life.

It is also true that you should never just pour out money foolishly without researching and doing your homework about where that money will be going in the first place before you make the investment. You need to make sure that you will get a good return on your investment because you do not want to continue to throw more money than you have to work with out on a lot of investments that do not working out in the long run.

There are many celebrities and people who have earned a lot of money and then they get to a point where they do not know what to do with it all so they go off and get into debt and get hooked on bad habits such as gambling, drugs and alcohol because they can’t control the fantasy style life that they live and they end up in a bad position because they cannot control themselves and live within their means.

The people who have the best all around lifestyle not only work smart to earn a lot of money along as a result of following their desires and imaginations but they also live smart and invest in the right places so they do not go over their means.

Nobody can afford everything they ever want and that is why it is important to make a list of what is important to you and your business and find ways to efficiently and effectively budget for them. When you do this you will get what you need in order to make you happy!

Find a way to make a budget that will set your course for the future. The further that you budget into the future then the more financially strong you will be in the long term. You should still always be open to make changes and revise your financial plan and budgets along the way because changes will happen along the way and if you do not make the necessary changes along the way it could cause competitive harm or financial harm due to the fact that you are not doing what it takes to keep up with the current economic forecasts and shifts in your income and keeping an innovative image for your business and yourself along the way.

Some people get to financial success by generating millions of dollars in income but many have not stayed there and that is why it is very important to always have a smart budget and financial plan available for you to fall on and that will b able to guide you to a happy lifestyle and a successful business. You could earn a lot of money but blow it all away very quickly as well and get into enormous debt and that is why it is vital to live within your means and have a budget to protect you from going overboard and out of your means.

Wishes for the Budget

With the Budget just around the corner (Wednesday 23 March), we canvassed some of our clients – a mixture of business owners and professionals – for their Budget wishes. Understandably in this climate, our clients have a number of concerns – covering not only business issues, but also worries about the NHS, for instance, and our ageing population.

Martin Pollins, managing director of Bizezia in Haywards Heath says: “We need tax relief on private medical insurance premiums, which will help the overburdened NHS.”

Richard Bamford, key account director with Citrus Healthcare Consulting in Hildenborough agrees that the government needs to introduce measures to reduce the financial pressures placed on the NHS.

“Individuals who take out private medical insurance should be encouraged and rewarded for taking responsibility for their health and wellbeing, therefore reducing the cost burden placed on the NHS,” he says. “The constant advancements in medical treatment come at a price, with more money needing to be pumped into the NHS for it to cope with these costs. People should be given a tax break to help pay for their private medical insurance, especially pensioners. If the government wants the NHS to be sustainable in the future, bold decisions need to be made.”

If people are lucky enough to remain fit and well and outside of medical system as they head towards retirement – old age itself brings with it more than enough to worry about. Michele Pearson, wealth adviser with iMAP Your Finances in Cuckfield, would like to see a simplification of the pension laws.

“People want to know what they can expect at retirement, regardless of their savings,” she says. “If you want people to invest now to make their future in retirement better, then you need to give them certainly for them to build on.”

Martin adds: “Abandon the minor allowances for the elderly, such as winter–fuel payments, and combine them into an increased basic pension – it will save money on administration costs and put the level of UK pensions closer to those in other countries. Also for the retired population, I would like to see better interest rates on savings, or no tax on savings, lower taxes or no taxes on state and other privately-funded annuities.”

When it comes to saving, Michele says that personal investors want better returns from their savings. She adds: “The government can help by providing more tax-free havens – we haven’t seen a TESSA account for years – and why not extend the ISA limits further?”

Kieron Robertson, an estate planner and independent financial adviser with Valiant Financial Consultants in Tunbridge Wells, says that it would be good to see more done to encourage people to save both in the short-term and beyond.

“It would be good to see a reduction in Capital Gains Tax for those with assets held over periods of say, more than five years and more to encourage savings towards retirement,” he explains.

Richard Holme, a partner with Creaseys in Tunbridge Wells, wants George Osborne to ‘leave Capital Gains Tax alone or perhaps look to reduce the main 28% rate slightly. He adds: “Above all, retain the 10% rate for sales of businesses (entrepreneur relief) in order to encourage entrepreneurs to invest to assist in the continuing recovery of the UK economy.”

We – and our clients – are united in wanting to see more done to stimulate business investment and offer companies support.

“George Osborne must fulfil his promise to centre the Budget on entrepreneurialism and business growth,” says Neil Edwards from The Marketing Eye. “Getting people back to work and safeguarding the liquidity of small businesses is the priority. Offering rewards and incentives to businesses to employ people by offering relief from employers’ NI or rebates on previous years’ corporation tax will take the risk out of new hires for small businesses and get consumers spending again.”

Chris Winning from The Winning Partnership in Tunbridge Wells says that there need to be tax incentives for Research & Development.

“We need to ‘kick start’ the economy again and, more importantly, help businesses to recover from years of depression,” he says. “They need assistance with R&D to give them a chance to be innovative, create new income streams and boost the bottom line profit.”

He’d also like the 50% tax rate to be abolished, as he feels it is discouraging entrepreneurship.

Budgeting

Common wisdom has it that if you create a budget you will save money. Creating a budget also is a responsible adult thing to do, blah, blah, blah. “They” also say you should balance your checkbook, well I don’t do that either. I never even thought about a budget until I got married and had to combine finances. My idea of a budget was when I ran out of money then I quit spending, which isn’t quite as irresponsible as it sounds. I didn’t have a credit card that I charged things on so I was just spending what I had.

Then I got married and my husband was giving me money when I needed it, that was a pretty cool situation for a little while. However, when I spent $ 200 in one day and wanted more money let’s just say my husband was “concerned”. I wanted more money (I mean I hadn’t even bought any books yet, come on!). Well of course my husband wanted to know where I spent the money, a reasonable request I thought.

So I told him I spent $ 30 on gas, $ 50 at the doctors, $ 40 at the grocery store (on his cigarettes if I recall correctly), $ 30 on a birthday present for my nephew, $ 20 on these really cute shoes, and I still had some money left.

So he was relieved and offered me more money. At this point I could have just taken the money and moved on but, I wanted to know how much money I could spend. Since this wasn’t just my income and my bills anymore I didn’t want to spend $ 20 on really cute shoes if we hadn’t paid the water bill yet! So I kept asking, “How much is my money?”. It took a while before my husband understood the question but, I wanted to know. If you give me a goal I am pretty good at meeting it but, I didn’t know the goal.

This opened a whole new discussion! So we started talking about how much we made together and things we had to pay (car, rent, etc.).

Guess what, we were creating a budget and I didn’t even know it! Okay, now let me tell you the very best thing about a budget. When you get all the have-to pays out of the way, then you can decide how you want to spend what’s left. Vacation in Tahiti? Save for retirement? Lunches out with the gang? Books? This is the beautiful part, you decide. I now have a book budget, I mean how cool is that?

Okay, you have to ask yourself – How often is it that the “adult responsible thing to do” also works out as the thing that is best for you? (You don’t have to admit the answer out loud if you don’t want to). I know in my case it happens way too often. So now the girl who still doesn’t balance her checkbook is touting the effectiveness of budgets, who knew?

2. Be aware of any travel warnings for the country you are. Learn about security and safety, to your destination.

3. Safe travel insurance!

4. Make sure that you have been vaccinated against any infectious disease figures prominently in the area you are traveling with.

5. To make sure that we can contact you in case of an emergency, make a copy of your itinerary and leave it with someone at home.

6.

7. Remember, you are a foreigner, when you are traveling. You are a guest in their country, and therefore should comply with its laws, and to some extent, their customs. For example, if you’re a woman traveling in an Islamic state, be careful of your clothes.

8. Try not to bring too much attention to themselves while traveling. Do not go out like a tourist with a camera, showy and expensive clothing. Try a combination of scenery.

9. Travel in a group, where possible, and in known areas. There will be times you want to get from the tourist routes, so make sure you always have a traveling companion with you.

10. Only the transport of small amounts of cash from you. Your credit cards and travelers checks to pay for many things.

11. Beware of pickpockets! Wear the money belt and keep your purse / wallet in the front part of the body. Report any loss or theft immediately to local authorities.

12. Do not leave your luggage unattended. Along with it, or items that were stolen from it taken, you could also become an unsuspecting drug courier.

13. If you travel with your partner, pack half your clothes in their luggage, and vice versa. Thus, if one of you loses your luggage, you still have clothes.

14. Lock your luggage, and all labels.

15. Lock your room. Keep money and valuables with you, will not be left unattended in your room.

16. When using public transport to be aware of possible theft. If you are traveling at night, secure your luggage and sleep in the upper part, if possible. It is not uncommon for tourists to be drugged, and in trains and buses do not accept gifts of food or drink from strangers in public transport.

Budgeting

When working on our  Household Budget plan, it is hard to ignore that times are tough financially all over the world. We are in the middle of a global recession that many believe is as bad as the Great Depression of the 1930′s. I would challenge this presumption with facts but right now but because many people are losing their jobs, their incomes are getting cut, and their expenses are going up, it is hard to change the mindset that has pervaded the culture through media to believe such a thing.

It is said that a recession is when my neighbor loses his job and a depression is when I lose mine. When in financial straits, it is hard to see the forest for the trees and easy to panic if more expenses have been created than the income can handle.

It is easy to see how these people might find themselves unable to cover all of the monthly expenses they have in their  Household Budget plan. When that time comes for you, take a look at your income and expenses and find a way to make ends meet. It can be done, and it can be done by anyone.

Here Is What To Do
The first thing is to take a good look at your household budget plan and figure out what expenses can be cut. Notice I did not say could be cut. There is always some things can be Find them. Often, you may be spending money on a lot of unnecessary things.
For example, you may be spending a lot of money on fast food or Starbuck’s coffee drinks, or maybe you have a Netflix membership for $ 20 a month to get 3 movies at a time. You could easily cut out the Starbuck’s and make coffee at home, reduce your fast food consumption, and go down to the $ 5 a month Netflix membership and take out just one movie at a time.

You may also find you can do without premium cable channels, and can work out ways to reduce your cell phone and utility expenses by using these things less. For example, you could hang up your clothes to dry, rather than using a clothes dryer. Turn off the air conditioner and use ceiling fans for some of the time. Restrict cell phone usage to emergencies only and purchase a $ 10 per month pay-as-you-go plan.
Take Action

If you still cannot make ends meet after making these cuts in your household budget plan, take on a part-time job or sell some things on eBay and Crags list. Start your own home based business to cover the gaps. The point is that there are plenty of things to do to succeed financially when there is not enough money to cover budget expenses with your regular income. Get out there and take action.

Budgeting

What is a budget? In the United Kingdom a budget is an itemized statement that reflects the financial status of the U.K. for the coming fiscal year. It contains proposals for spending, for tax purposes, and is presented to the nation in a speech delivered by the Chancellor of the Exchequer. It compares to the State of The Nation speech by a U.S. President. Another meaning of the word budget as found in the dictionary is: a plan specifying how the resources, especially money, will be allocated or spent during a particular period. It can also mean the total sum of money set aside or that will be needed for a specific purpose.

There are a few more definitions of the words budget and budgeting, but for the purpose of this article we’ll stick with those mentioned above. Budgeting and having proper budgets can produce less stress. And the absence of stress leads to a healthier more pleasurable life.

Yet, there are hundreds of people in the world today who have never made a budget of any sort. To them the question of budgeting remains a situation of laissez faire; let the coin fall as it may. They prefer to let life’s event take their natural courses without personal intervention.

Whether one sits with pen and paper, or places a laptop on their legs, knowing where you stand financially is of utmost importance. You need establish a budget in preparation for the rainy day. The safest way to build a nest egg for the future or build an emergency fund is to establish a budget. Some say you need to set aside 3 months of cash for those unforeseen circumstances.

We spend money like there is no tomorrow In Shakespeare’s Hamlet, old Polonius warns his hard-headed son Laertes about the pitfalls of borrowing and lending; in other words, the dangers of incurring debt.

It is from this passage of literature that we find the quote “Neither a borrower nor lender be”. When you lend money to a friend you run the risk of losing both the friendship and the money. In today’s world, our biggest cancer is not of the physical kind, but of finance – debt.

Now, almost four hundred and fifty years later, we as a people have all but totally ignored the advice of Polonius. We continue to borrow money left, right, and center. We have become a nation of spend-thrift people. We spend money like there is no tomorrow. Millions of families have no savings for their children’s college fund; no savings for vacations; no savings for general upkeep; and no savings for retirement.

The majority exist from one paycheck to the next. How sad will it be for those who will reach age 90 and still find the need to fill out applications and submit resumes for employment? With all the great medical advances present today, we continually add years to life, but not life to years. Some have even become cynical to the idea of frequent physical exercise. They rely on medication for their survival. Maybe it is due to the quality of home entertainment that we have largely become a sedentary nation. The potency of television programming very much outweighs the desire to shed the extra pounds.

There is no budgeting for weight loss. So we keep spreading at the hips and elsewhere. The budget you act upon today could save a life. The life you save could be your own.

billet-grilles1_resizeSome people might wonder why so many drivers make their grilles as an obsession because there are so many car accessories that serve more important role like GPS or wheels. Well actually I can mention so many reasons on why grilles can be an obsession. The first reason is definitely aesthetic function. People are judging the car appearance from the front part of the car. The grilles are making the front part look stylish or elegant. Therefore, by replacing the grilles only, we will get a whole new look.

Another reason is related to status. Each car has its own class and most people decide the car class based on its look. With the perfect grilles, the driver will be able to enhance the car look and of course the car class. One most important reason is protection. Most grilles are put on the SUV or trucks. These cars are often used for heavy track that put the car in high risk of crashing. With the grilles, the driver will get better protection.

Grilles are one of the major modifications on our car. As the response of the drivers; high demand, we can find various types of grilles and nowadays, the most popular one is billet grilles. To find the billet grilles model, we can go to Carid.com
