My Music
Since I was ‘knee high to a grasshopper’ I have been singing music. And, from time to time, I have been playing guitar. Here are a few samples of recordings that I have had the opportunity to have recorded over the past few years.
Handel’s Messiah
- Point Loma Nazarene University Orchestra; I did 4 tenor solos back in 2004. The orchestra was ok, but I am happy to finally have gotten some of my classical work recorded.
Point Loma Nazarene University Concert Choir
- this was a great recording of a gospel hymn with me soloing and having a full choir back up; also in 2004.
Originals
- this was a mixture of scripture sung to my music, or completely original songs, lyrics and music. I recorded them in one sit down session. Me and my guitar.
House of the Lord - nearly word for word from Psalm 122
Praise Him - this is the first song I ever wrote in 2000 living in Japan.
Reign Down - music by my buddy Ed Aranda
Revive Me - written after a period of a lull in my faith.
Sing Hallelujah - just plain fun.
Mama’s Lullabye - the chorus of this song is based upon the lullabye that my mother would sing to me. I wrote this after my mother’s death in 1997 from cancer.
Story Telling
for years my family has been telling stories through song, clown outfits, and even by just whistling.
Mithing Tooth - a fun, short read of a kid who has a missing tooth.
Caught on Tape
This is a simple arrangement of “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” that I played on Father’s Day at my dad’s church in Katy, TX (St. Peter’s United Methodist) on June 15, 2008.
